Credit Controller - Surbiton - Surrey

Salary: £18K - £20K
Our Client based in Surbiton is looking for a target driven individual who is able to work under pressure to work within their well established company.
Key Responsibilities/Activities:
• On a day-to-day basis make a high volume of outbound calls (60-80 per day)
• Plan and organise caseload to maximise collections activity
• Chase clients and brokers when loans fall into default
• Administer insolvent accounts including liquidators, receiverships and administrations (lodging claims and pursuing dividends)
• Ensure all collections activity is accurately documented and diarised in the database
• Process client direct debits
• Process client debit/credit card payments

• Initiative

• Commercial and legal knowledge
• Negotiation skills

• PC literate
• Previous consumer debt recovery experience (essential)
• Experience of working in a broker or insurer environment (preferred)
• Experience of working in a financial services environment particularly leasing or credit card company (preferred)
• Educated to a minimum of 5 GCSEs or equivalent with maths and English at C grade or above (essential)
Hours of work are 9am - 5.30pm
